“Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.” {Ephesians 4:15-16}
The King James Version says that each part is “fitly joined together” — connected.
It’s a crazy, unpredictable world we’re living in right now. 2022 isn’t cutting us any slack, is it? The enemy has literally been pulling out all of the stops to disconnect and isolate us from each other. It’s become very easy to just do the “keep to myself” thing, hasn’t it ? I’ve heard so many people say that they can do life just fine on their own.
I’m watching so many believers fall apart at the seams. The enemy is doing his best to separate us from each other. Sheep don’t do well on their own. They need the safety and strength of the flock. On their own, they are easy targets for the enemy to pick them off.
And that’s what I see happening today. We are living in fear and not in faith. We are isolating not just from the crazy of the world right now but from each other.
But if we stay connected, we actually grow in strength and love and wisdom. We really do need to stay connected.
What does that look like? Well it isn’t a like on Facebook, for sure. Or just a text. It looks like purposeful time together. Hanging out in person. Gathering together to worship. Having a coffee. Making dinner for each other.
We need each other. So reach out. Connect with people. Get yourself to church and draw strength and faith from each other. Connect. Connect. Connect.
